Red Hill,
i go red hill its a great school andyou get lots of friends page stembalski
My child goes here, I think it's great. I believe the Ofsted was all at least satisfactory though! To Annie V: are you a teacher? It sounds as though you must be a very good one to make such fantastic progress with your child in just 18 months. Do you make weekly plans and link your teaching to the national curriculum? Do you cover all the subjects? Do you assess your child using NC levels at least once a term? Sounds as if your child was taught by a couple of NQT's; they do require daily release (1 day every 2 weeks) for training by law. I would recommend anyone send their child their personally. Lovely school trips too.
Since the previous reviews were posted , the ofsted reports on red hill have got progressively worse. My daughter was taught two years on the trot by teachers who were still on one day release to college and then by a job share duo. This resulted in bullying being ignored and bad gaps in her learning which I had to fill at home. Management were not easy to work with....a big them and us feel between staff and parents. I pulled my daughter out 18 months ago and now she studies at home and is two years ahead of where she would have been if she had stayed at Red Hill. Do your own research , but the ofsted reports over the past 6 years say enough.
Both my children have attended Red Hill (I did myself some 20 odd years ago!). I can honestly say that it is great. The teachers are so so supportive and the environment is lovely! The school is kept clean and safe and my daughter cannot wait to go back after the summer break! Oh and the ethos is brill!
I think red hill primary school is brilliant! I am in year six there and the teachers are friendly you learn alot and there are brilliant school trips! In about three weeks year six are going to Kings Wood in the Isle of Whight! How fun! So all I can say really is: RED HILL ROCKS!!!!
