    Agree with alexandra O + Mrs H - one of the receptionists is particularly awful - no customer service skills at all. Had used the practice for about 10 years or so but really good staff started to leave and the practice itself seems more concerned with making money - when i last visited there was a notice saying appts were 10/15 mins any longer would incurr an extra charge. One or two vets there are excellent but again some of the other lovely vets have left - makes you wonder why. that said they have excellent facilities but we left because of the receptionist, the charges and the money orientated ethos. shame as we have two pets and our custom has gone elsewhere.

  • 4 Receptionist very rude but vets fine

    We had used Laurels before to treat our GSD, the place is quite run down, as is Anderson's vets in bromley. When we needed to see a ve in a hurry the Laurels receptionist was so rude I couldn't believe she still had a job there, the woman clearly dislikes her job and the customers, I guess they are busy enough not to care whether they lose business, interesting approach in a recession. The vet itself was absolutely fine, no complaints there, however we won't be using Laurels again - well done receptionist you must be delighted to upset so many people.

  • 6 reception staff rude and information wrong

    I have mixed feeling about the Laurels. The veterinary care is of a very high standard but customer service needs attention. I had been with the Laurels for a year but only required one check up and booster jab for my cat. We then got 3 kittens. One of them needed some non urgent treatment, yet the receptionist insisted that he needed to see a vet within 2 hours, even though my husband was at work and I had to collect my daughter from school with two other young children in tow and no car to transport them and the kitten in as I can't drive. We explained our situation and she began to virtually accuse my husband of neglecting our cat. It turned out the problem was minor and as we thought. We are experienced cat owners. Another day, I had to miss an appointment because I could not find my kitten as she was hiding! I rang 5 mins before the appointment was due and explained the situation but was told I had incurred a charge. Nowhere does it make it clear that this is their policy on any info I was given when I joined. Their fees are the highest out of the three main vets in Bromley. When I asked the cost of cat vaccinations over the phone, I was told 54.00 pounds for both my cats. When it came to paying, it was 66! The displayed tariff also clearly showed the lesser fee, so it was was not pleasant to be met with the higher cost without warning! This same lady receptionist was consitently abrupt and dismissive about us us customers. She was also rude to me, so fed up with these problems we moved to another vet that is cheaper, more friendly and just as good. The Laurels couldn't have cared less about the fact that they were loosing us after a year. We have 1 cat and 3 new kittens, so they would have got their monies worth out of us! I am sad to loose the quality vet care but am not prepared to be overcharged, misinformed and patronised on the telephone. We are much happier with our new vet.

  • 10 Great service

    My dog was so very ill and having never needed a vets before i rang around and found the Laurels. They were open late, which was brilliant for me. The service and knowledge that i recieved was above my needs and i was so greatful to the brilliant staff of surgeons and nurses. I would recomend this Practice.
