  I'll start with a simple message and echo the previous posting - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It all started well for us. good products delivered on time. the problems started when we discovered that one of the doors was faulty - a large stain mould stain appeared when the decorators sanded the surface ready for sealing. I took photos emailed them to Chislehurst Doors and contacted them by phone. I assumed it would be easy, they would replace the faulty door with a new door. How wrong I was, we had spent over £5,000 and yet was as if we didn't exist. I have lost track of the number of times I phoned, emailed or visited the shop. Broken promises for months. I was dealing with James (Jimmy) Quinlan. It's rare to be completely shocked about the behaviour of someone who relies on customers for his living. I was so shocked that I looked up the company details, looking for someone to complain to. Unfortutantley Mr Quinlan is the sole director. He is lying, shifty and deceitful, once he has your money he simply doesn't care about you. He ignores emails, he doesn't phone back, says he'll visit then he doesn't. Mr Quinlan refused to pay a carpenter to remove the faulty door and replace with a new door. he refused to deliver a replacement door unless I had already organised and paid for the removal of the faulty door. He refused to accept that the terms of the Sale and Supply of Goods Regulations 2002 applied to him (consumers are entitled to claim damages for losses suffered as a direct consequence of a faulty product). Chislehurst Doors and Mr Quinlan do not deserve to be in business.

• Abusive owner

  We ordered 5 doors to be fitted at a cost of over two thousand pounds. One of the doors fitted was faulty, it has a light stripe through the middle of the it. The fault was on the inside of my daughters room, so for the sake of convenience we would have kept the door for 50% discount. The owner refused and swore profoundley, my husband and I are city workers and we were shocked at this outburst. The owner had a complete fit and said he would come over and remove the door - he would not have come back and replaced it with a perfect door. He was a cowardly, vile, disgusting man and I will never use them again. We were going to have 6 more doors replaced, so he has lost over 2K of our business and I will be telling everyone I know never to use them. His abusive, behaviour was a disgrace, I just thank God my daughter was not with us. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
