The Car Rental Centre

I too had my deposit taken from me without being told - £560. They then refused to give it back saying I had damaged the car - no photos, no repairs invoice, they didn't even notify me until I managed to get hold of them nearly 10 days after returning the car. My bank have managed to reclaim the money through Visa International but Car Hire are now counter claiming with the new development that I abandoned the car in the car park. My name is Alan Leung and I enquired about hiring a car from CAR HIRE UK for the Xmas period in 2007. The next thing I knew they had ripped almost A$3000 from my account. I complained but they told me the "deal" was not cancellable which forced me to continue with hiring the car. When I returned the car after five weeks and returned to Australia it took me two months and threats to expose them to get most of my money back. They charged me for re-fuelling when in fact it was returned full, they charged me for a speeding fine which the police did not prosecute, they charged me for an extra day and they also charged me for not cleaning the car when their website of terms and conditions do not state that they charge for cleaning. I am still owed therfore 116 pounds and I intend to do everything in my power to get it back. It's amazing that they had a customer with an almost identical name Alan-leung L but If I see a favourable review about this company I would dis-regard it as a fabrication.
