Martin is a sport and exercise physiologist having worked with a number of international sports people and teams; this enables him to take a qualified, scientific approach for safe effective training.

Our association, Global Taekwon-Do United Kingdom (GT-UK) is affiliated to the British Taekwon-do Council (BTC). The GT-UK is one of the largest Taekwon-do associations in the UK. We have links to the main governing body through our web site www.tkd-southeast.com

Taekwon-do is one of the most effective martial arts utilising kicking techniques, employing the leg's greater reach and power (compared to the arm), a system of blocks, punches, and open-handed strikes and also includes take-downs, throws and joint locks. Unlike other martial arts it has been developed using scientific principles of physiology and biomechanics to maximise strength and power. It is now utilised by numerous military units around the world, proof of its effectiveness.
